In 2011, producer Jamie Hendry commissioned George Stiles and Anthony Drewe to write the music and lyrics for a new stage musical version of Kenneth Grahame’s wild tale about the thrill-seeking, lovable menace Mr Toad. The show saw Stiles + Drewe reunite with book writer Julian Fellowes, who they had previously worked with on Mary Poppins and Half A Sixpence.

The Wind in the Willows premiered at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth in October 2016 before embarking on a UK Tour to The Lowry in Salford and The Mayflower, Southampton. In the summer of 2017 the show ran at the iconic London Palladium.

Story

Ratty, Badger and Mole join the exuberant Toad and embark on a serious of adventures and misadventures caused by insatiable need for speed! Imprisoned for theft and with his existence under threat from the inhabitants of the Wild Wood, Toad must attempt a daring escape to defend Toad Hall.
