We're thrilled to reveal the winners of our newly expanded Stiles + Drewe Prize 2016!
At a star-studded gala yesterday, hosted by West End and Broadway actor Julian Ovenden, THE WICKER HUSBAND by Darren Clark (music & lyrics) and Rhys Jennings (book) was presented with our inaugural Mentorship Award, generously supported by Music Theatre International (Europe). Darren and Rhys will receive 12 months of fully funded mentorship and support, benefitting from monthly writers' labs, a week long writing retreat and two progress labs. The year will culminate in a professional industry showcase.
Tim Connor won the Stiles + Drewe Prize for Best New Song with "Back to School" from his musical HEART OF WINTER. Now in its 9th year, this Prize recognises an outstanding song from a new musical and Tim Connor received £1,000 to put towards developing his work.
