Story

There are lots of pig tales, big and small, but we think the greatest one of all is the one to do with three little pigs – Cha, Siu and Bao – and as our show begins we’re introduced to these global superstars.

But their real story starts, as all good stories do, long ago when the pigs all lived together in their old pig sty.

Mother Pig had been left alone to raise her three little piglets when their father was ‘taken’ by the Big Bad Wolf. Her children are very different from one another: Cha is exercise-obsessed, Siu is “green” to the core and Bao is a sociable book-worm.

Mum encourages her three little porkers to leave their cramped home and make their own way in the big wide world and build houses for themselves.

While trying to find the ideal location, they realise they don’t agree at all about their ideal living arrangements.

Meanwhile, the Big Bad Wolf – who is alive and hungry – bemoans the fact that he has such a bad reputation.

Having successfully built their houses from straw, sticks and bricks, the three little pigs are horrified when the Wolf suddenly bursts onto the building site.

After much huffing and puffing, the Wolf blows down their straw and stick homes, but meets his match with Bao’s masterful brick construction.

Undeterred, the Wolf hatches a plan – taking Mother Pig hostage and using her to lure the tender young piglets out of the brick fortress.

Will the Three Little Pigs manage to unite to defeat the Big Bad Wolf? There are plenty more twists in this very curly musical tale…
